Quillt – German for “swells” or “well” , literally apropos enough for this blog, but stylistically intended here as a patchwork of thought created by the writer’s quill – a Quillt.

I am a writer by trade, the author of two books on health, co-author of  Makerspaces in Libraries (Rowman & Littlefield, 2015),  and author of the upcoming work, the Complete Book of Library Makerspaces (Rowman & Littlefield, 2017).  I am Creative Partner, with my husband Steve,  for our company,  Eureka! Factory where we work as consultants helping libraries and other organizations develop makerspaces and creative programming.

I have more than 30 years of social entrepreneurship experience across a diverse spectrum of fields and interests, all focused on doing work I’m passionate about, in a way that I hope makes the world a better place in the small corner of it that I can affect.

CoverI believe strongly in the value of collaborative, open source and crowd sourced solutions,  and in the strength of mentor-based learning.

The meaning of life, is the meaning we bring to it.

Make it Good.
